Calem is a player character option in the Pokémon X and Y video games. He is one of two customizable protagonists, with the other being Serena. The player chooses either Calem or Serena at the beginning of the game.
His journey begins in Vaniville Town, where he meets his friends Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor. Together, they embark on a quest across the Kalos region to complete Professor Augustine Sycamore's request of filling a Pokedex and learning more about Pokemon.
During his travels, Calem encounters Team Flare, a criminal organization seeking to create a "beautiful" world by eliminating those they deem unworthy. Calem confronts and defeats Team Flare's plans, saving the Kalos region from destruction.
