Ash Ketchum, known as Satoshi in Japan, is the main protagonist of the Pokémon anime series. He begins his journey at the age of ten, aspiring to become a Pokémon Master.
Originating from Pallet Town in the Kanto region, Ash's first Pokémon partner is Pikachu, who initially resists his companionship but eventually becomes his closest friend and stalwart companion.
