Harry Potter

Dudley Dursley is Harry Potter's spoiled and often cruel cousin. He is the only child of Vernon and Petunia Dursley, who reluctantly took Harry in after the death of Harry's parents.

Growing up, Dudley was pampered and indulged, receiving an excess of toys and treats while Harry was neglected and mistreated. He is portrayed as overweight, unintelligent, and a bully, frequently tormenting Harry and other children.

Dudley's understanding of the magical world is limited and fearful, initially rejecting it outright. Throughout the series, he gradually matures, displaying moments of surprising empathy, particularly towards Harry. This is most evident in the final book when he expresses concern for Harry's safety.

In the epilogue, it is revealed that Dudley and Harry are on cordial terms, suggesting a level of reconciliation and a move away from their difficult childhood relationship. They are not shown to be close, but they do acknowledge each other.
