Anpanman is a beloved Japanese anime and manga character created by Takashi Yanase. He is the titular hero of the long-running series, Anpanman, which began as a picture book in 1969 and later became an animated television show in 1988.
Anpanman is a sentient superhero whose head is made of anpan, a sweet bean-jam filled pastry.
