Android 20, also known as Dr. Gero, is a primary antagonist in the "Androids Saga" of Dragon Ball Z. He first appears in episode 132 of the anime series, titled "The Red Ribbon Army Returns!"
Dr. Gero was a brilliant but vengeful scientist who served as the lead scientist of the Red Ribbon Army. After Goku destroyed the army, Gero dedicated his life to creating androids powerful enough to kill Goku. He transferred his brain into an android body, becoming Android 20, to achieve immortality and enhance his own power.
As Android 20, he possesses the ability to absorb energy directly from his opponents, making him a formidable threat. He is ultimately defeated by the Z Fighters, specifically Vegeta, but his creations, Androids 17 and 18, continue to pose a significant danger.
