Biography:
Harpo Marx, born Adolph Marx (later Arthur) in 1888, was one of the five Marx Brothers. He was a comedic performer best known for his silent character.
Unlike his brothers Groucho, Chico, and Zeppo, Harpo rarely spoke on screen, communicating instead through mime, physical comedy, and expressive facial expressions. He was known for wearing a red curly wig and often chased after beautiful women.
A talented musician, Harpo played the harp, despite not knowing how to read music. He created whimsical sounds by playing the instrument unconventionally.
Harpo appeared in numerous films with his brothers, including "Animal Crackers," "Monkey Business," and "A Night at the Opera." He also made solo appearances in films and television. He passed away in 1964.
