Shaun is a character most prominently featured in Edgar Wright's 2004 comedic horror film, Shaun of the Dead. He is portrayed by actor Simon Pegg, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Wright.
In the film, Shaun is a directionless 29-year-old electronic appliance salesman living in London. He is stuck in a rut, working a dead-end job and struggling in his relationship with his girlfriend, Liz, due to his immature behaviour and attachment to his best friend, Ed.
When a zombie apocalypse erupts, Shaun is forced to step up and take responsibility. He embarks on a mission to rescue Liz and his mother, Barbara, while also protecting Ed.
