Biography:
She-Thing is a Marvel Comics character, also known as Sharon Ventura. She debuted in The Thing #27 (September 1985) and was created by Mike Carlin and Ron Wilson.
Sharon Ventura was originally a stuntwoman who became fascinated with Ben Grimm, the Thing. Eager for adventure, she volunteered for a process developed by Doctor Karl Malus that would grant her superpowers. Initially, she gained enhanced strength, stamina, and durability.
Later, she underwent further transformations. After being exposed to the same cosmic radiation that empowered the Fantastic Four, she mutated into a form resembling the Thing. As She-Thing, her body became covered in orange, rocky hide. While she possessed incredible strength and resilience, this transformation was often depicted as a source of emotional distress.
She-Thing has been a member of the Fantastic Four, as well as other teams like the Frightful Four (briefly under mind control). Her character arc often explores themes of body image, self-acceptance, and the cost of power.
