Game of Thrones

The Night King was the leader of the White Walkers and the primary antagonist in HBO's Game of Thrones. His origins are rooted in the distant past, during the First Men's era on Westeros.

He was originally a human, one of the First Men, captured by the Children of the Forest. In an act of war against the encroaching humans, he was ritually bound to a weirwood tree and had a dragonglass dagger plunged into his chest, transforming him into the first White Walker.

This act created a powerful being with supernatural abilities, including control over the dead (wights) and the power to raise the deceased into his army. His goal was to erase the world of men and plunge Westeros into an eternal winter.

Throughout the series, the Night King relentlessly marched south, amassing an enormous undead army. He was ultimately defeated by Arya Stark at the Battle of Winterfell, ending his reign of terror and shattering the White Walker threat.
