Komand'r, known as Blackfire, is a character from DC comics, primarily associated with the Teen Titans and her younger sister, Starfire.
She is the eldest princess of Tamaran. Due to a childhood illness that prevented her from absorbing solar energy like other Tamaraneans, and a birthright rule that required that those unable to wield power were not eligible to rule. As such, Komand'r's lack of power meant she was not in line for the throne. Blackfire harbors a deep-seated resentment towards Starfire, viewing her as responsible for her misfortunes.
Blackfire first appeared in *The New Teen Titans* #22 in August 1982. She is often depicted as a ruthless and ambitious warrior, seeking power and control, often placing her in direct conflict with Starfire and the Teen Titans.
