Lady Death is a fictional character who first appeared in Evil Ernie #1 in December 1991, published by Eternity Comics. She was created by Brian Pulido.
Born Hope, she was the daughter of Matthias, a nobleman, and a witch. Accused of witchcraft due to her father's past sins, Hope was burned at the stake. To escape this fate, she renounced her humanity and pledged herself to the dark forces, transforming into the powerful Lady Death.
