EVE (Extra-terrestrial Vegetation Evaluator) is a fictional robot character from the 2008 Disney/Pixar animated film, WALL-E. Designed by the Axiom corporation, EVE's primary function is to scan planets for photosynthetic life, indicating the possibility of human re-habitation. She is a sleek, egg-shaped probe, primarily white and metallic, equipped with advanced technology, including a laser cannon and flight capabilities.

Initially portrayed as cold and focused on her mission, EVE is dispatched to Earth to confirm the presence of plant life. She encounters WALL-E, a sanitation robot who has survived on the desolate planet. He shows her a seedling, proof of photosynthesis. EVE enters a stasis mode to protect the plant sample, awaiting retrieval by the Axiom ship.

Throughout the film, EVE develops a complex relationship with WALL-E. She gradually warms to his genuine affection and experiences a growing emotional awareness. She becomes fiercely protective of him and the seedling, ultimately defying the Axiom's autopilot, AUTO, to return to Earth and assist in humanity's return. EVE undergoes a significant character arc, evolving from a programmed robot to a being capable of love, loyalty, and independent thought.
