Biography:
River Song, portrayed by Alex Kingston, is a complex and enigmatic character in the British science fiction television series *Doctor Who*. She is an archaeologist and time traveler whose timeline intersects with the Doctor's in a non-linear fashion.
Her first appearance was in the two-part story "Silence in the Library" / "Forest of the Dead" (2008). This story introduced her as someone who knows the Doctor intimately, possessing knowledge of future events in his life, even his death. This version of her remains exist only as data within the library's computers.
