Leopold James Fitz, commonly known as Leo Fitz, is a fictional character portrayed by Iain De Caestecker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Fitz is a brilliant Scottish engineer and scientist who serves as one of the core members of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D.).
Fitz's first appearance was in the pilot episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which aired in September 2013. Throughout the series, he forms a close working relationship and romantic connection with fellow agent Jemma Simmons.
As part of the team he provides tech support, weapons knowledge, gadgetry and scientific analysis and is known for his sharp intellect, quick thinking and unwavering loyalty to his friends.
