Biography:

H.E.R.B.I.E., an acronym for Humanoid Experimental Robot, B-type, Integrated Electronics, is a robotic character from Marvel animated properties. While variations of H.E.R.B.I.E. exist, the most well-known appeared in the 1978 *Fantastic Four* animated series.

Created due to licensing issues preventing the Human Torch from being featured, H.E.R.B.I.E. was designed by Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) as a companion and assistant to the Fantastic Four. Functionally, he acted as a replacement for the Human Torch in the animated series line-up.

H.E.R.B.I.E. possessed a range of abilities, including flight, data analysis, and energy projection. He also had a distinct personality, often displaying curiosity and a childlike innocence. His appearance in the show's credits are his first appearence.
