Agent Venom, most notably appearing with the Thunderbolts, is the alias used by Eugene "Flash" Thompson after bonding with the Venom symbiote.
Flash Thompson was a high school bully turned unlikely war hero. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and lost his legs in combat, a sacrifice that deeply impacted his perspective.
The U.S. government offered him a chance to walk again and serve his country in a new way: bonding with the Venom symbiote. This gave him enhanced strength, speed, and the ability to create weapons and tendrils, but required constant mental discipline to control the symbiote's more violent tendencies.
