Akuma, known in Japan as Gouki, is a prominent antagonist in the Street Fighter series. He's recognized by his red hair, glowing red eyes, and dark gi adorned with the kanji "Ten" (Heaven) on his back.

Akuma is the younger brother of Gouken, Ryu and Ken's master. He embraced the Satsui no Hado, a dark fighting style focused on immense power achieved through the acceptance of murderous intent. Gouken rejected this path, leading to a bitter rivalry and eventual confrontation.

Driven by his insatiable thirst for power and a desire to hone his skills against worthy opponents, Akuma constantly seeks battles to test his strength. He often appears as a hidden boss, challenging players to overcome his overwhelming power and formidable techniques, such as the Gou Hadouken and the devastating Shun Goku Satsu (Raging Demon).

Akuma's motivations are primarily self-serving, focused on personal improvement and proving his dominance. He is often portrayed as a force of nature, embodying the destructive potential of unchecked ambition and the dark side of martial arts.
