Biography:

Captain Canuck is a Canadian comic book superhero created by Ron Leishman and Richard Comely. He first appeared in Captain Canuck #1, published by Comely Comix in July 1975.

The original Captain Canuck is Tom Evans, a member of the Canadian International Security Organization (CISO). Tom gains his powers through contact with extraterrestrial energy, granting him enhanced strength, speed, and agility.

Debuting during the Bronze Age of Comics, Captain Canuck was intended to provide a distinctly Canadian superhero. His costume incorporates elements of the Canadian flag, and his stories often dealt with themes relevant to Canada and Canadian identity.
