Baltan Seijin, often referred to as Alien Baltan, is one of Ultraman's most iconic and recurring adversaries. He debuted in the self-titled "Ultraman" series in 1966 in episode 2, "The Invader from Another Dimension".

Baltan Seijin originates from the Planet Baltan, destroyed by nuclear testing. He and his people are a species of humanoids with a crustacean-like appearance, characterized by their large, claw-like hands and distinctive laughter.

Driven to find a new home, Baltan Seijin arrives on Earth intending to colonize it. They demonstrate advanced technology, including teleportation, illusion projection, and miniaturization. Their primary weapon is a paralyzing ray emitted from their claws.

Baltan Seijin is not only a formidable physical threat but also a cunning strategist. He often employs psychological warfare, using illusions and deception to outwit Ultraman. Despite being defeated repeatedly, Baltan Seijin's enduring popularity has led to numerous appearances and variations throughout the Ultraman franchise.
