Biography:
Michael Jon Carter, known as Booster Gold, first appeared in Booster Gold #1 (1986). He is a time-traveling superhero from the 25th century, where he was a college football star disgraced by gambling.
Stealing historical artifacts and a security robot named Skeets, he traveled to the 20th century hoping to capitalize on his future knowledge and become a celebrated hero. Initially motivated by fame and fortune, Booster Gold eventually developed a genuine desire to do good.
He often teams up with Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) forming a comedic and effective duo. His powers include a force field, super strength (augmented by his suit), and energy blasts. Despite his sometimes boastful personality, Booster Gold has proven himself a valuable member of the DC Universe.
