Selina Kyle, a meek secretary working for the corrupt Max Shreck, stumbles upon his illegal activities. To silence her, Shreck pushes her from a window, resulting in her apparent death. Taking on the persona of Catwoman, she embarks on a path of vengeance against Shreck and quickly becomes both an antagonist and uneasy ally to Batman. Her motivations are complex, driven by a desire for justice and a sense of empowerment after years of being downtrodden. She has a strong animal like reaction to situations and is often seen as anti-hero, taking a dark road to doing the right thing.
