Vic Hoskins was the head of InGen Security in the Jurassic World park. A military contractor with a pragmatic and arguably ruthless approach, Hoskins firmly believed in weaponizing dinosaurs for military applications. He saw the potential for these creatures to revolutionize warfare, envisioning them as tools for combat and reconnaissance.

His ambitions placed him at odds with Owen Grady, the Velociraptor trainer, as well as others who prioritized the ethical considerations of dinosaur handling and the safety of the park. Hoskins viewed the Velociraptors as trainable assets, rather than the complex and dangerous animals Grady understood them to be.

Hoskins exploited the Indominus rex incident as an opportunity to deploy his raptor squad, intending to demonstrate their effectiveness as weapons. His plans ultimately backfired, leading to his death at the claws of Blue, the Velociraptor he attempted to manipulate. His actions exemplified the dangers of prioritizing profit and military applications over ethical considerations and respect for the power of prehistoric creatures.
