Susan Pevensie is a fictional character from C.S. Lewis's *The Chronicles of Narnia* series, appearing in three of the seven books and their respective film adaptations. She is the second oldest of the Pevensie children.

In *The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe*, Susan, along with her siblings Peter, Edmund, and Lucy, discovers the magical land of Narnia. There, she initially struggles with belief but eventually embraces the reality of Narnia and joins Aslan's army in the fight against the White Witch. She is given a magical bow and horn as gifts, symbolic of her role as a protector.

In *Prince Caspian*, Susan returns to Narnia with her siblings and again aids in the fight against oppression. Her archery skills prove vital in several battles.

Though she does not appear in *The Voyage of the Dawn Treader*, she is mentioned. In *The Last Battle*, Susan is notably absent. The reason given is that she is "no longer a friend of Narnia" because she has become preoccupied with worldly concerns, such as boys and parties, and no longer believes in the reality of Narnia. This aspect of her character has been a subject of much debate and interpretation.
