Cletus Kasady, better known as Carnage, is a supervillain appearing in Marvel Comics, primarily as an adversary of Spider-Man and Venom. He is a symbiote, similar to Venom, but much more violent and unhinged.

Kasady was a disturbed individual from a young age, a sociopath with a history of violence and murder. He met Eddie Brock (Venom's host) while they were cellmates in prison. When Venom's symbiote returned to bond with Brock, it unknowingly left behind a spawn. This spawn bonded with Kasady, creating Carnage.

The Carnage symbiote amplifies Kasady's sadistic tendencies, making him an even more dangerous and unpredictable killer. Unlike Venom, Carnage is completely amoral and delights in causing chaos and suffering. He possesses all of Venom's powers, but with enhanced strength, speed, and the ability to form weapons from the symbiote.

Carnage has been a recurring threat in the Marvel Universe, often involved in large-scale conflicts requiring the combined efforts of multiple heroes to defeat him. He remains one of Spider-Man's and Venom's deadliest foes.
