Biography:
Dr. Elizabeth Shaw is a fictional archaeologist and scientist featured in the 2012 film Prometheus. Driven by her Christian faith and archaeological discoveries of similar star maps across ancient Earth cultures, Shaw believes that humanity was engineered by extraterrestrial beings.
Alongside her partner, Charlie Holloway, and the crew of the Prometheus, Shaw journeys to the distant moon LV-223 to find these "Engineers." Her initial hope is to meet humanity's creators and understand their purpose.
However, the mission takes a dark turn as they discover the Engineers' true nature and a deadly bioweapon. Shaw survives the mission, but the experience shatters her faith and changes her perspective on humanity's origins. She embarks on a new quest, setting course for the Engineers' homeworld in search of answers.
