Doomsday is a powerful supervillain in DC Comics, primarily known as the creature that killed Superman. His first full appearance was in Superman: The Man of Steel #18 (November 1992).
Doomsday was created through brutal experimentation on Krypton long before Superman's birth. He was designed to be the ultimate weapon, constantly evolving to overcome anything that defeated him. This resulted in a massive, virtually indestructible monster with incredible strength and a seemingly endless capacity for destruction.
His most infamous act was his battle with Superman in the "Death of Superman" storyline. The two titans fought to a standstill, ultimately killing each other. Doomsday has returned numerous times since, continuing to pose a major threat to Superman and the DC Universe.
