Doctor Phosphorus, a villainous character from the DC Comics universe, debuted in Detective Comics #469 (May 1977).
Dr. Alex Sartorius was a geologist working near Gotham City when he was exposed to experimental geothermal energy. This exposure transformed him into a living skeleton covered in burning phosphorus. He gained the ability to generate intense heat and manipulate phosphorus.
In the *Lego Batman Movie*, Doctor Phosphorus appears as one of the many villains held at Arkham Asylum. He is among those who escape when Batman foils Joker's plan, only for Batman to send all the villains to the Phantom Zone.
