Baby Groot, also known simply as Groot, is a sapling version of the original Groot character featured in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy films. Following the events of the first movie, where Groot sacrifices himself to save his teammates, a new Groot sprouts from a twig.

This iteration of the character, often referred to as "Baby Groot," is childlike in both appearance and demeanor. He retains some of his predecessor's memories but possesses a limited vocabulary, primarily communicating with the phrase "I am Groot" in various tones to convey meaning. He first appears post-credits in Guardians of the Galaxy, dancing in a flower pot.
